Highlights of my week:
Receiving recordings of Miaskovsky’s
Symphonies performed by Russian Orchestras conducted by the great
Evgeny Svetlanov.
Attending a performance of Helen Lucas’s
Sarajevo Suite performed by La Mama Theatre Company, Mobile.
What a delight that was for me when I
found that it included enthusiastically sung folk music!
Thank you Anneli Bjorasen, Olena Fedorova
& especially Donna D. Kantarovski.
