Week’s News: It has been proposed that the programme adopt a motto/favourite poem. One written by the late great Spike Milligan. It is a poem that he wrote especially for the lonely. It is certainly very short -

Hello.”

Passions Verbose Advert

OI!
OI!
OY YOU!
Thank you.
Now that I have your attention, I wish to ask you a question: Do you have a cultural type of burning passion that you pursue?

F’rinstance ~ painting, storytelling, gardening, making food or drink, playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing, knitting, sewing, cottage arts, leather craft, viscera divination, debating, politics, photography, film making, flower arranging, cake decorating, body art, religion, pottery, glass making et cetera.

If Yes, we would love you to share your passion with your fellow Wimmera citizens by recording a 10-15 minute spoken exposé about you and your Passion. You can find out all about it on the 31th May 2012 post at:

A bit of a mouthful! So just Google “The Gypsy Jack Boggle Show” and use it to find the blog spot. Then, when you are on the blog, look at the “Passion's” entry posted 30th February 2012. Also read the Agenda 21 and Listeners’ Comments Page in the tabbed pages at the top to further empower yourself.

Prove that the sceptics who say that Wimmera culture does not extend beyond boozing, AFL, cricket, wife beating, tennis, country music, line dancing and religion are wrong.

Come forward and share your Passion, take your 10 minutes of fame, possibly become someone else’s role model or inspiration, perhaps improve your wealth, definitely improve the well being of your fellow citizens.

Enter history and be a “Passion’s Person”.

Reverse the trend towards a world of bland beige coloured people and become / be known to be colourful and full of vibrant life.

Also wanted – an army of helpers to record and help in the project which should end up having more than 6000 records of Passion. But at the current rate this will not occur until about 3012 ad.
